BlackBerry Classic now comes in Cobalt Blue

Just in time for the U.S. Independence Day holiday, BlackBerry has complemented its red and white smartphones with a new BlackBerry Classic that comes in Cobalt Blue.

The Classic is BlackBerry’s throwback model that mimics the look at feel of past BlackBerry models and marries a touchscreen with the physical function bar and trackpad last (featuring the send, back and end call buttons) seen on the BlackBerry Bold 9900, as well as the traditional BlackBerry hard qwerty keyboard.

Featuring a 3.5″ square touchscreen, the Classic boasts 16GB of storage, an 8MP camera and up to 22 hours of battery life. While it has the classic look of some of BlackBerry’s older models, the Classic also runs the vendor’s latest operating system, BlackBerry 10. The OS includes features such as a faster browser, BlackBerry Hub for managing all conversations from emails to texts in one place, BlackBerry Blend for sending messages from a desktop PC and BlackBerry Assistant for scheduling.

The new model Cobalt Blue complements the models available in Classy White and Traditional Black, and with the red and white BlackBerry Passport and white BlackBerry Leap completes the patriotic colour series.
