The fourth generation iPad might be jealous of its little brother.
The iPad mini has been grabbing all the attention while many don’t even know that Apple has refreshed its bigger tablet for the second time this year. It’s easy to understand why the newest iPad isn’t turning heads. It looks pretty similar to the “new iPad” launched in March. It has the same screen size, same resolution, and is exactly the same dimensions.
But there are some differences to consider. We take a look at the differences, and how they stack up to the iPad 2.
The iPad fourth generation is powered by Apple’s dual-core A6x chip with quad-core graphics. It has an iSight camera on the back that will take 5 megapixel photos or 1080p HD video, with stabilization. The front-facing FaceTime camera will take 1.2 megapixel photos and also supports 720p HD video.
The screen size as per usual is 9.7 inches and the retina display features 2048 by 1536 resolution. There are Wi-Fi only and cellular models available, with 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB storage options. The starting price is $499. From there, add $100 for each step up in storage, and $130 for the cellular connectivity.
