Accu-Sort Systems releases high-density version of its scanner solution

Accu-Sort’s AXIOM-X scanner to read high-density codes
Accu-Sort Systems announced the release of a version of AXIOM-X which can read high-density bar codes. The decode software has also been improved to reduce the number of “no reads”.

The improved reading capacity and enhanced software allow AXIOM-X to be used in a broader range of applications and provide high read rates for all possible bar code densities.

AXIOM-X is a multiple laser, omni directional bar code reader, providing a large depth of field and transport coverage. Its scan rate of 1120 scans/second ensures the highest possible read rates on both good and poor quality codes.

All AXIOM-X bar code scanners provide flexible connectivity. They come standard with serial, Ethernet TCP/IP, UDP and EtherNet/IP connectivity, eliminating the need for converters. Scanners are networked together using a standard client/controller configuration. This eliminates the need for an additional multiplexer or other peripherals, significantly cutting the time required to set-up and install tunnel configurations.

AXIOM-X bar code scanners are bundled with AXCESS software, which provides a way to configure and monitor AXIOM-X readers from anywhere in the facility.

Kristanix Software releases Password Generator Professional 2006
Kristanix Software announced the release of Password Generator Professional 2006, software designed for system administrators, webmasters and software developers to create secure and flexible passwords.

To create a password, users need to set the length and number of passwords they need, then click on a yellow padlock icon, which gets the process started. Apart from that, the program features a set of options in which users can preset various properties of a newly-generated password. Here, one can specify global options, such as password type, quantity, minimum length, maximum length, format and configure options in three character sets: standard, pronounceable and custom.

The password generator contains flexible masking patterns, which allows users to use masked mode to fine tune their results. Secondly, passwords reliability is ensured by the password generation algorithm, which creates random numbers using a twisted generalized shift feedback register. Thirdly, the program allows users to make command line batch files, with several output methods. Another useful feature provides for saving files to a number of formats including TXT, XML, HTML, CSV and Microsoft Excel.

Password Generator Professional 2006 runs under Windows ME/2000/XP/NT/2003 and starts at US$29.95.
