Touring the “mobile innovation store”

Last week, we had a chance to take a look at how stores can bring mobile technology into a physical store.

The idea is for retailers to give their consumers more of an experience, luring them back into brick and mortar stores, rather than losing all of their spending money to e-commerce.

Antoine Azar, co-founder of Azar, showed us how his Montreal, Que.-based startup, Thirdshelf, is using Apple Inc.’s iBeacon technology, as well as other innovations to take shopping mobile. He demonstrated how that would work at Dx3, a marketing conference held in downtown Toronto.

For more, check out our story on Thirdshelf here.
