First look at Fitbit’s newest smartwatch and wireless headphones

Fitbit is trying its hand in the smartwatch and wireless headphones market, and on first glance, the devices don’t disappoint.

This week we are unboxing the latest Fitbit devices for Tech and Sports, the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch and Fitbit Flyer wireless headphones.

The Fitbit Ionic, available now in Canada for $399, is the company’s fitness-oriented smartwatch that is essentially comparable to the Apple Watch and other competing brands. The genesis of this device stems from Fitbit’s acquisition of rival Pebble in February this year for $23 million dollars.

The Fitbit Flyers are the company’s first ever wireless headphones available in Canada for $169. They’re durable and comfortable, and come with a tip kit so you can interchange the earbud piece. Fitbit partnered with Waves, an audio company best known for its work in the film industry, to provide the best sound quality possible.

Last time on All Hands on Tech, we reviewed the HP business laptop that you should definitely keep your eyes on.
