Welcome to our incubator and accelerator directory

I’m excited to introduce a new feature to ITBusiness.ca that will be useful to our readers involved in Canada’s technology startup community. It’s an all-Canadian directory of incubator and accelerator style programs!

I wanted to create a Web resource where Canadian startups, or even entrepreneurs considering immigrating to Canada, could search, sort, and filter all the programs available to them. You can do that from our main directory page, and that’s just the surface level. Click into any listed program to get all the details you need to know and a dashboard that will show you recent postings to social media accounts, blog feeds, and a Google Map of the program’s office location. It’s a complete one-stop shop for anyone that is curious about what is happening on Canada’s incubator and accelerator scene.

To create this database, we cobbled together data from the Canadian Association of Business Incubation, the MaRS Data Catalyst Project, and a lot of our own Web site scouring. We’re not saying its perfect and we want your help in keeping it as accurate and up to date as possible.

We’ll be making dozens of entries live in the directory over the next several days. So bookmark it now and come back to see it grow and explore Canada’s innovation hubs. If you’re running an accelerator or incubator or accelerator style program, and want to improve your directory listing or to add a new listing, let us know.

To kick things off, you might want to peruse the entries for the eight biggest accelerator programs in Canada, according to a MaRS report.
