Video Rewind: iOS-controlled quadricopter plays augmented reality game

With Halloween over, store shelves are bound to be brimming with seasonal Christmas stock today. If you’re the kind that does your gift shopping early, you might want to take a look at Brookstone’s iOS-controlled toys for the gadget geek on you list.

This new land-based spy drone can be wirelessly controlled up to 200 feet away. And if that’s not impressive enough, there’s also a quadricopter you can fly around using an iPad or iPhone, and play an augmented reality game. Check out the Parrot AR Drone in this video from Sept. 30, 2010:
