Video Rewind: An overview of common online threats

Osama bin Laden’s death in a U.S. commando raid on his hideout in Abottaba, Pakistan has the Internet ablaze with discussions and speculations in the last couple of days.

Not surprisingly, the amped up social net activity has also encouraged cyber criminals to take advantage of the situation and a wave bin Laden-related scams and malware even before Al Queda could launch its own counterattack.

As a way of warning, today’s Video Rewind, features Steve Trilling, vice president, security technology and response, Symantec, showing how a hacker located halfway around the world can monitor the online activities of a person using an unprotected computer.
