The Rolodex: Nikon Canada clicks with StratAmp

 

Strategic/Ampersand Inc.

The company said it had snapped up the Nikon Canada account, expanding its public relations activities. The account had formerly been managed by Cohn & Wolfe, which earlier had indicated that all PR activities would be handled

in-house by Greg Flasch, Nikon Canada’s advertising and communications manager.

StratAmp said it would work with Nikon on expanding awareness of some of its brands in Canada, including the Coolpix and D Series digital SLR camera brands.


National

Sarah Herce said she would be leaving the company, where she had worked on the SAP Canada account. Chief responsibility for the account will remain with Paolo Pasquini.


Cohn & Wolfe

Miriam Zitner said she would be working with Duane MacDonald to help manage the Intel of Canada account. Zitner has also worked at Hill & Knowlton Canada.


DataMirror

Tom Giantsopoulos has joined the firm as a senior corporate communications specialist. He had worked at Cohn & Wolfe on the Intel of Canada account.


Temple Scott Associates

The firm, which had been handling media relations and PR activities for Nortel Networks, has turned those duties back internally to Ann Fuller.
