Silverhammer nails Sony of Canada account

Silverhammer Public Relations

The firm said it has won the Sony of Canada account to become its agency of record.

Under the terms of the agreement, all initial media inquiries, including requests for information, visuals and/or product, will be facilitated through Silverhammer

or, alternatively, on an emergency basis, through John Challinor at Sony of Canada. Challinor was formerly the communications executive for Compaq Canada, and more recently ATI Technologies and Cygnal Technologies.


National Public Relations

Mandi Davis, who previously assisted on the SAP account and Canon Canada accounts, has left the firm. Assisting on the Canon Canada account is Melissa Gray.


Blast Radius

The firm said it has been contracted by Indigo to help redesign the customer experience and in-store information kiosks as well as its e-commerce site for chapters.indigo.ca, which sells books, videos and DVDs.

This partnership will leverage Blast Radius’ expertise in usability, experience-design and information architecture to enhance and streamline the customer experience across the various online touchpoints, Blast Radius said.


WebSurveyor Corp.

The provider of do-it-yourself online survey solutions, said it has added Janet Driscoll Miller and Kelly Waffle to its marketing team. Miller will direct WebSurveyor’s Internet presence as director of Internet marketing, and Waffle will focus on outbound marketing programs as director of marketing programs.

Prior to WebSurveyor, Miller founded empower marketing, an interactive marketing firm based in Denver, Colo. Prior to starting her own firm, Miller was the senior marketing communications manager for Software AG, where she coordinated advertising, interactive marketing, events, and branding efforts. She has over 10 years of technology marketing experience and has held marketing positions at Call Technologies and Telos Corp.

Waffle was director of marketing, North America for CAST Software. With more than 20 years of technology marketing experience, he has held marketing management positions at Cisco Systems, Baan Software, and Software AG.
