QuickMobile teams up with UK company Eventsforce

QuickMobile Inc., the Vancouver-based company that builds apps for event organizers, is reaching out worldwide by partnering up with U.K.-based company Eventsforce Inc.

The partnership is slated to be a way to give both companies a foothold in global markets. QuickMobile has been expanding into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while Eventsforce recently moved into North America.

QuickMobile creates multi-event mobile apps for corporations, as well as for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs). When organizers need to pull together a series of conferences or networking events, the company helps them keep track of their attendees, image galleries, messaging, and social networks.

On the other side of the partnership, Eventsforce gives organizers a hand with the actual events planning process. That includes planning, marketing, and registering attendees, as taking a step back after the event and analyzing what went well and what could be improved.

The move comes as QuickMobile undertakes a hiring spree, bringing in 60 employees since September 2012 and looking to add 20 more to its team this summer. In May, it also landed $3.2 million in follow-on funding, using that money to keep up with customer demand.
