Jaguar C-X16 borrows ‘turbo boost’ feature from Batmobile

In the campy 1960s Batman TV series starring Adam West, when the caped crusader needed to get somewhere fast in the Batmobile, he’d press a turbo boost button that resulted in a flame shooting out of the rear tailpipe – rocketing him towards the next opportunity to exact justice.

Jaguar’s C-X16 “Push to Pass” feature might not involve rocketry, but it will help you get some extra torque at the push of a button. It takes the charge from the hybrid’s lithium-ion battery and kicks it into the engine for the boost.
