In Brief – Soltrus partners with Protego to offer security package

TORONTO — Soltrus Inc., provider of Digital Trust Services announced it has partnered with Protego Networks Inc., producer of security threat management appliances, to provide an integrated security suite.

The partnership allows Soltrus to offer Protego’s Mitigation and Response System (MARS),

to help organizations maintain network integrity, monitor events, and proactively identify and mitigate new and emerging threats.

The MARS Appliance combines network intelligence with security information to enable organizations to quickly detect, analyze and mitigate attacks in progress before they spread throughout mission critical networks. MARS delivers the insight expected from a security information management product, and the power of intrusion prevention — throughout the network.

MARS is one component of Soltrus’ Network Wellness Program that helps organizations overcome the wide-ranging array of current network threats, inoculating enterprise networks against their harmful effects. The program provides a holistic view of enterprise networks, helping organizations to cope with the ever-evolving and sometimes complicated technologies and processes required to keep networks healthy.

Fujitsu puts focus on enterprise customer by merging resources

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Fujitsu Canada, Inc. and Fujitsu Technology Solutions Canada, Inc. announced they are combining resources to better target the enterprise customer with a broader range of products and services geared for business-critical server and enterprise mobility solutions.

Hardware offerings include advanced computer systems such as reliable and scalable servers and full-featured wireless notebooks and Tablet PCs. Large enterprise business can select from a combination of hardware, software and integration services, as well as services and maintenance in support of the IT infrastructure.

Howard Day, the president of Fujitsu Canada, will lead the new combined company that retains the Fujitsu Canada name. Customers will benefit from a single point of contact for products and IT infrastructure services.
