How SMBs can harness digital technology

With small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) pushing themselves to be more competitive and aiming to be more productive, one of the quickest ways to do this is to embrace digital technology.

At least, that was one of the key takeaways from a new webinar released by the Conference Board of Canada last month. Branded as “Adopting Digital Technologies: The Path for SMEs,” the webinar looked at the findings from a new report showing how SMBs are harnessing digital technology to drive their businesses.

For example, after speaking to several SMBs, the Conference Board found a number of barriers to embracing new technology, the biggest one being time constraints. Closely following that was money, as well as fear and resistance to change.
