Users of the best software available for video advertising find that it offers lots of good features, but could do better when handling bulk loads of video ads, according to reviews collected by Chicago-based G2 Crowd.

The software review platform released a new report on software for video advertising on Thursday, reflecting more than 250 reviews written by business professionals. In the leaders category, Sizmek, DoubleClick, MediaMath, and BrightRoll are the products that scored best on G2 Crowd’s metrics of user satisfaction correlated against market presences. In the niche category were three additional products in TubeMogul, YuMe, and DtaXu. While the companies in this category were well-rated, they just haven’t received as many reviews on G2 Crowd’s platform yet.

All the products rated a high 80 per cent when it came to overall video functionality, G2 Crowd reports, and three-quarters of users would recommend the software to their peers. Bulk editing and bulk uploading features received the lowest ratings on average, sitting at 73 per cent and 75 per cent respectively. Reviewers indicated in their comments that they really liked tools that helped them track their campaign success.
