Eight marketing automation vendors compared by R2i Research

Marketing professionals have a growing number of marketing automation platforms to choose from, and the choices can be a bit overwhelming – a new comparison report and tool may help.

R2i Research has released its 2015 Marketing Automation Comparison Report, which looks at eight popular marketing automation platforms: Marketo, Adobe Campaign, Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics Marketing 2015, Silverpop, Act-On, Eloqua-Oracle Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Pardot.

The research isn’t designed to say which platform is best – indeed, the marketing automation platforms aren’t ranked. Instead, the report is focused on the feature sets of each platform, outlining which features each platform has and how well each platform performs certain tasks, from content library and reuse to support for mobile.

The idea is some platforms will be better at some things than others, and some marketers will value some features over others, so a focus on feature sets can allow an organization to select the marketing automation platform that best fits their specific needs.

“Marketing automation platforms are becoming more widespread across marketing organizations of all sizes and the sheer number of MA platforms available can be overwhelming,” said Chris Chodnicki, R2I’s co-founder and executive director of strategic partnerships, in a statement. “Our report is targeted to VPs and CMOs of mid-market and enterprise companies who need the levels of sophistication and integration these tools provide for customer engagement, personalization and lead generation.”

A comparison tool is available for marketing professionals looking to see how different platforms do with the features that matter most to them.
