Dell blades now support Cisco switches

The product combination broadens Ethernet connectivity deployment choices for Dell PowerEdge blade servers. Customers will also benefit from advanced features designed to simplify data centre management and help reduce total cost of ownership. It can reduce the data centre real estate requirements by optimizing rack space. Deploying the Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3030 in the Dell PowerEdge blade server environment also allows Cisco customers to help protect their investment in network management platforms such as CiscoWorks. With these solutions, Cisco Catalyst switches can be configured and managed to deliver a number of security, resiliency and management features. The switch starts at $5,529.
