IP in your office
The latest release of Avaya‘s IP Office, a converged voice and data system for small and medium businesses, is easier to install and maintain, according to the company. It also offers mobility and call-handling capabilities to help organizations operate more efficiently, improve service to their customers and stay in touch with employees on the go. Among the new features enabled by the new 3.2 release of IP Office software are: a “mobile twinning” feature that lets employees have incoming office calls ring simultaneously on a cell phone, home phone or other remote handset; new call-handling options so that rather than routing unanswered calls directly to voice mail, employees can set up a personal attendant, letting callers choose instead to speak to an operator or colleague or transfer to a cell phone or other number where the worker can be reached; and conferencing enhancements to simplify document sharing and enable Web chats among conference participants.
