CS Odessa launches ConceptDraw Lab project
CS Odessa launches ConceptDraw Lab project which combines corporate blog, products marketplace and discussion forum. In the context of ConceptDraw Lab there are planned periodic releases of freeware utilities developed by CS Odessa engineers, publishing of the news and articles on products, company and technology.

One of the products developed for free download on the ConceptDraw Lab is an iCalGTD Dashboard widget that partially implements the “Getting Things Done” time management system. The free widget integrates with any GTD software via iCal.

The iCalGTD widget puts ideas, tasks and any other assorted pieces of information that we can think of into a selected iCal calendar that serves as inbox. At the same time widget has the ability to display a list of the tasks scheduled for today.

Novell strengthens workgroup portfolio

Novell announced the addition of team workspace and real-time collaboration solutions to its workgroup product portfolio. The offerings will help boost end-user productivity by simplifying the business activities people engage in to create, share, discuss and manage information.

Novell has entered an OEM licensing agreement with SiteScape to offer these products. The Novell offerings are expected to be available later this year, and product names will be announced at a later date.

Aricent launches super-suite of IMS software services and products
Aricent announced the launch of its IMS super-suite of IP Multimedia Subsystem software services and products.

Aricent IMS super-suite delivers an end-to-end IMS solution across the four elements of FMC applications:

  • End-user IMS applications on devices
  • IMS server applications
  • IMS control layer components in the infrastructure
  • Billing solutions that integrate across legacy systems

Aricent has developed a full range of software products that accelerate IMS deployment. The Aricent IMS Client Framework and the Aricent IMS Application Development Environment facilitate the creation of compelling applications for devices. The Aricent IMS Application Server Framework and associated frameworks provide the infrastructure foundation for applications that include over-the-air streaming of video and music, voice-over Wi-Fi and presence-enabled gaming. The Aricent Billing Mediation Platform enables service providers to integrate these IMS applications into their existing billing systems.
