SAP Business All-in-One Fast-Start Program: designed for companies seeking an industry-specific solution at a low cost of ownership. The program targets smaller mid-size companies and offers a defined project scope, predictable costs and short implementation times while enabling customers to minimize the burden on their IT staff as well as service and support costs. The SAP Business All-in-One solution allows companies to start with what they need now, and adapt and scale as their needs change. Prospects can use the solution configurator, an online tool that displays business process scenarios and allows the customers to plan a solution that matches their specific needs. It automatically estimates the total cost of a solution – software, hardware and implementation services – thereby greatly reducing the complexity of evaluation. This transparency also reduces the uncertainty and the risk of add on costs.

Describe what makes this Solution, Service Provided, or Initiative original or innovative.How is this over and above the accepted norm?

The SAP Business All-in-One Fast-Start program offers mid-size companies a world-class software solution that can be deployed in weeks (8-16 weeks typically) as opposed to months and years. The result is quick time to value, and minimal business disruption. The program targets smaller mid-size companies and offers a defined project scope, predictable costs and short implementation times while enabling customers to minimize the burden on their IT staff as well as service and support costs.

Describe the improvement this Solution, Service Provided, or Initiative made to the customer’s sales or revenues. What changed?

Atlas Electronic Systems, a fast-growing distributor of semi-conductors and passive components, was running two separate and non-integrated systems; one for financials, and one for distribution. Keeping the systems synchronized was a manually time-intensive process and highly error-prone. At least one person was dedicated full-time to re-keying information from one system into the other, and they were often not in agreement with each other. The implementation of SAP Business All-in-One eliminated the need for the re-keying of information, and now the sales, financials and inventory is accurate, correct and up-to-date at all times. Atlas was able to redeploy administrative staff previously used to do non-value-added work to assist with sales. Sales people become more effective by being able to focus on selling rather than spending time doing administrative work. Sales at Atlas Electronic Systems increased by 30% in the first year of running SAP. Positions were eliminated and staff redeployed in other areas of the company, resulting in payroll savings of at least 2 FTE’s
