Caringo delivers archival integrity with speed and access of primary storage
Caringo Inc. announced an evolution of its CAStor software that delivers the integrity of content-addressed storage (CAS) with the access and performance specs of primary disk storage.

CAStor adds asymmetric local and wide area replication to enhance its built-in disaster recovery, archiving and continuous data availability capabilities. CAStor ensures that redundant preserved data resides on separate sub-clusters within the same site, or on a remote site.

SOLO introduces Shock Stop

SOLO released Shock Stop technology that protects the contents of rolling cases. SOLO created Shock Stop, a patented spring technology that absorbs shock while bags are being wheeled.

Made of black ballistic poly with a water resistant lining, both Shock Stop bags feature the Shock Stop wheels along with a telescoping and locking handle system.

The Shock Stop bags are currently available in two Classic styles:

  • SSA901 Shock Stop Laptop Portfolio – This bag includes an airport security check pocket for access to boarding passes and tickets, a dedicated key hook, and stretchy Digital Asset Pockets for mp3 players and other personal electronics. The stretchy elasticized laptop section secures and protects up to a 15.4” laptop and a handy front zip down file organizer section stores and organizes personal accessories. 
  • SSA902 Shock Stop Rolling Laptop Case – The SSA902 features an access magnetic-close front pocket, a key hook and stretchy Digital Asset Pockets for mp3 players and other electronics. An elasticized laptop section snugly holds a 15.4” laptop and a file organizer protects files and papers. An additional rear compartment offers an extra file compartment and an overnighter section with an elastic closure to keep clothes neat and protected.
