Sequans introduces mobile WiMAX chip
Sequans Communications announced the release of its WiMAX mobile station chips. Supporting the recently ratified 802.16e-2005 broadband wireless access standard, the chip provides equipment makers with an integrated physical layer and media access control (MAC) layer solution and low power consumption for developing WiMAX mobile stations.

Sequans’ SQN1110 system-on-chip (SoC) is an 802.16e-compliant baseband solution. Its high level of integration and low power consumption make it suitable for use in mobile devices such as handsets, smartphones, PDAs, PC cards, USB dongles, as well as fixed devices.

Sequans new mobile station chip was designed to include all MAC and PHY features required to attain WiMAX certification, expected later this year.

The SQN1110 mobile station chips are sampling now along with evaluation kits for the SQN2110 base station chipsets. The product is expected to be available in September.

Zizasoft releases zsDuplicateHunter 2.30
Zizasoft LLC released zsDuplicateHunter, version 2.30. ZsDuplicateHunter 2.30 includes several enhancements and the addition of an Enterprise edition designed for network administrators.

ZsDuplicateHunter allows users to find and clean up duplicate files, including music files, image files, text files and binary files. Users can search for duplicates in a single folder, an entire computer, or across a network. After zsDuplicateHunter finds the duplicate files, the user can remove them from their computer using seven different deletion methods (four in the Standard edition). The new Enterprise edition adds the ability to replace files with links when deleting files. This is useful for network administrators trying to manage files for multiple users, as users can still access the files from the normal locations.

ZsDuplicateHunter 2.30 runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux machines. It is available in three editions: Enterprise (US$99.95), Professional (US$39.95) and Standard (US$19.95).
