Apple’s MacBook’s the perfect fit for image-concious executives

Apple’s MacBook is designed for business executives who not only want to be able to take their work out of the office, but look good doing it, too. The notebook, sure to raise some ooohs and aaahs from colleagues, has Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
Just one-inch thin, the MacBooks are up to 25 per cent faster than the previous generation, according to Apple. They feature a built-in iSight video camera for on-the-go video conferencing, Apple’s MagSafe Power Adapter, which is designed to safely disconnect the system when it’s under strain, and iLife ’06, which is designed to help users manage digital content.

The pricing for the MacBook starts at US$1,099. The notebooks come in sleek white or black 1.83 GHz and 2.0 GHz models.

The MagSafe Airline Adapter is designed to make it easier to use the MacBook on an airplane by allowing users to access in-seat power ports.

Apple’s Sudden Motion Sensor is designed to protect the hard drive in case of a fall, and the Scrolling TrackPad is designed to ease scrolling through long Web pages.

The MacBooks come with built-in AirPort Extreme, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), two USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 400 port and a mini-DVI video output.
