Last Tuesday was an unfortunate day at HP Canada (NYSE: HPQ). CDN has learned from a reliable source that several veteran channel executives in the subsidiary’s enterprise group left the company.

According to a source close to the situation, 10 executives in the enterprise group left on Tuesday.

There will also be a new pecking order at HP Canada. Subsidiary president Peter Galanis will hold the title of vice-president of the enterprise group, HP Canada.

His top three lieutenants will all hold the title of vice-president, converged infrastructure sales, cloud strategy & inside sales for three regions of Canada: Central, Eastern and Western. Charlie Atkinson will be in control of Central Canada; Mario Vitale in the East and Colin McGrath in the West.

Galanis will also have three other direct reports: Ron Fuller, vice-president, sales – networking solutions; Roger Walker, vice-president, financial and retail sales, and vice-president, enterprise server sales; and Rob Adley, vice-president, enterprise server sales.

Another development at HP Canada is the rise of Andrew Eppich as vice-president – partners & channels for the enterprise group. The source told CDN that he’ll be playing a more prominent role at the company.

All these moves don’t impact the newly formed Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPS) in Canada, headed by Lloyd Bryant. There’s also no status change forLeyland Brown, who is still awaiting assignment.

The channel alliances operations job at HP Canada is still looking to be filled, according to the source. These moves stem from the recently announced 27,000 person staff cuts by HP CEO Meg Whitman.
