Express IT: How in-car tech leads to innovations like ‘Siri’

Who was talking conversationally with a friendly computer before Apple fans had Siri? Who was using QNX software well before it appeared on the BlackBerry Playbook? Who was the first to wear a Bluetooth headset?

Drivers, that’s who. When auto manufacturers look to upgrade in-car technology, they must face the challenge of designing a user interface for drivers who can’t take their eyes off the road for more than a second or two.
