TIG is a publication targeted to IT professionals at all levels in the Canadian public sector, including health care, not-for-profits and education.
We cover IT news and issues of relevance in all levels of government. We approach stories mostly on a case study basis -- for example, who implemented what kind of technology and why?
Our purpose is to provide readers with a better sense of what their colleagues are doing in other parts of government and to give them the information that will help them do their jobs better.
Freelancers and PR agencies interested in pitching TIG with story ideas should always have this in mind: why will this be of interest to the IT professional in the Canadian government?
TIG is also interested in finding out about IT and e-government in other countries, again, with the user focus in mind.
Kathleen Sibley has been editor of Technology in Government for the past two years. She has also held various positions on most IT Business publications.
