Saskatoon-based Mega Group Inc. and Brossard, Que.-based Group Millenium Micro Inc. have signed a strategic alliance.
This alliance will see Mega’s consumer electronics retailers that sell computer products, access to Millenium’s programs, resources and industry expertise.
Group Millenium Micro network of independent computer merchants and professionals mostly in the province of Quebec, while Mega Group is a cooperative of independent furniture, appliance and consumer electronics retailers in Canada. Mega Group also has offices in Mississauga, Ont., and Boucherville, Que.
Carl Paquin, vice president, at Group Millenium Micro, said his company provide solution providers with resources to make them successful. This partnership is a great opportunity for Group Millenium Micro to leverage our buying power by expanding into the CE channel and partnering with Mega CE retailers.
Chris Hetherington, Mega Group’s General Manager of Strategic Development, said with the continuing convergence of consumer electronics and computer products in the retail channel, this alliance will provide a great opportunity for our existing CE retailers that carry computer products to take advantage of Group Millenium Micro’s strong presence in this very competitive computer channel.
