Adobe expands Creative Suite 3 product line
Adobe Systems Inc. announced the Adobe Creative Suite 3 product line. Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 line-up unites Adobe and Macromedia product innovation to provide designers and developers with options for all facets of print, Web, mobile, interactive, film and video production. There are six configurations of Adobe Creative Suite 3. These include: Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and Design Standard editions; Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium and Web Standard editions and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium. Rounding out the product line is Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection which combines 12 of Adobe’s design and development applications in a single box.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium software integrates groundbreaking releases of Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional is also included as a key component of Design Premium.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium software combines all of the Adobe applications that Web designers and developers require, including compelling Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Adobe Fireworks CS3, Adobe Contribute CS3, including Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium offers integration across major releases of its video, audio and Web software, including Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, Adobe Encore CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe Soundbooth CS3.

Adobe Device Central CS3 is designed to develop dynamic interfaces, mobile assets, applications and video content for mobile phones and hand-held consumer electronic devices. This software component is integrated in Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design, Web and Production Premium editions, as well as individual products, including flagship franchises such as Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 software.

Sybase launches RFID Anywhere 3.1
Sybase iAnywhere announced enhancements to RFID Anywhere, the company’s software infrastructure that provides an environment for developing and managing robust, highly-distributed radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions. RFID Anywhere 3.1 has been certified to work with and will support LXE’s RX2 forklift RFID devices.

RFID Anywhere 3.1 offers key enhancements in a number of areas:

  • Enhanced support for vehicle-mounted devices, including the LXE RX2 forklift RFID device, providing enhanced on-device functionality
  • Updated connectors for Active RFID and RTLS devices to support the INCITS T20 standard
  • Support for the Point Six temperature sensor
  • Enhancing support for passive RFID with updates to existing hardware connectors and hardware connectors for Siemens SIMATIC RF
  • Administrator console improvements including the ability to deploy device firmware updates
