Lenovo unveils ThinkStation E30 workstation, ThinkCentre M81 desktop

“Designed for creative and engineering professionals alike, this workstation’s power can be maximized when you tack on a Intel Xeon E3 1200 series processor. The ThinkStation also supports the creation of both 2D and 3D content if you pick NVIDIA Quadro 2000 graphics. There’s a lot of room for customization here, including up to 4TB of hard drive space, an 80GB or 160GB SSDs, up to 16GB of 1,333mHz memory. Some of the specs you’ll see on any configuration include USB 3.0 connectivity and Windows 7 Professional.”
IDC: Nokia users will push Windows Phone share above iPhone by 2015

“It’s not too surprising that IDC is predicting that Android will remain the dominant smartphone OS between now and 2015, growing its current worldwide share from 39.5 per cent to 45.4 per cent. But IDC is predicting that Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS will come in at No. 2 by 2015, growing from 5.5 per cent share this year to 20.9 per cent. Meanwhile, IDC claims that iOS will drop from 15.7 per cent share, to 15.3 per cent share in 2015.”
Acer bridges gap between laptops, tablet PCs with dual touch-screen Iconia-6120

Sean Portnoy shares details about Acer’s Iconia tablet.
“We’ve known about Acer’s Iconia portable device for a while now, but the company has finally announced specs, pricing, and availability for the dual touch-screen tablet. Known officially as the Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook, it combines a pair of 14-inch LED-backlit LCD screens and layers a unique interface over Windows 7. While Acer refers to the Iconia as a tablet, its specs resemble those of a more traditional laptop, including an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 640GB hard drive. With its 14-inch displays, it also weighs nearly six pounds, so it’s far bulkier than any tablet PC out there.”
