Mark Snider to be named Ingram Canada GM

A memo from the desk of Keith Bradley, Ingram Micro’s North American president, that was leaked to CDN, says that Mark Snider has been promoted to vice president and general manager, Canada, effective immediately.

This move effectively ends the tandem GM experiment of Snider and Charlie Spano at the Canadian subsidiary.

Bradley in his memo, dated June 11th, said he was pleased with the the Canadian team’s “great” progress, its profit expansion initiatives and its operational improvements.

The main reason for making this change was to help continue Ingram Canada’s momentum and to formalize the leadership.

According to Bradley, Snider has done an outstanding job of driving profitable growth with Canadian customers as well as contributing to improved vendor management performance this year.

Snider will now be directly responsible for managing the Canadian business as well as management of the sales, vendor management and marketing organizations. He will report directly to Bradley and to Brian Wiser, senior vice president of sales and vendor management at Ingram Micro, the memo read.

Also in the memo, Spano was named chief financial officer. He will be mandated to manage the country’s financial planning and analysis organization. Spano will now report to Ross Crane, chief financial officer and senior vice president strategic initiatives for Ingram Micro North America. Spano will also report to Snider.
