General Motors electrifies Geneva auto show

General Motors landed a double whammy award win at the Geneva Auto Show this week, with both the Opel Ampera and Chevy Volt winning Car of the Year. The cars both rely on electricity instead of fuel as their main propulsion.

The Chevrolet Volt, one of the winning pair, is available in North America and offers a hybrid design that relies on a gasoline engine after the electric battery is depleted.
